On September 3rd, 2010 I will give a lecture on Russian gas and oil exploration in eastern Siberia and the Far East at an ambassador’s meeting at the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On September 9th, 2010 I will participate in the Global Policy Forum, hosted by Russian President Dmitri Medvedev in Yaroslavl (Russia).
On September 28th, 2010 I will be on the panel with Grigori Javlinsky, former head of the liberal Russian party Jabloko.

In February 2009, I accepted the job as the OIIP’s ‘Scientific Adviser on post-Soviet Affairs’.
After almost 17 years I have left the Austrian Institute of International Affairs (OIIP) in Vienna by June 2008. Together with a team of distinguished researchers we have decided to make the International Security Research Group a leading university-level security research plattform. Doing research on proliferation, strategic arms control, transnational terrorism and terrorism response as well as on energy security, we aim to cover all current major threats of international security.
